AVR, OLC Building – a Memorandum of Agreement Signing between St. Paul College of Makati and Golden Arches Development Center, January 31, 2018 paved way for opportunities bestowed to Grade 12 students of the school.
St. Paul College of Makati was represented by our dear Directress-Principal, Sr. Remedios Cayetano, SPC, Sr. Nieves Marie De Cueto, SPC, Sr. Mary Urban Mago, SPC, Sr. Maria Theresa Mallillin, SPC, and Mr. Raymond Samonte, Assistant Academic Head. Golden Arches Development Center, on the other hand, was represented by Ms. Amalia T. Rasco, the company’s Business Partner and Human Resource Consultant who also handles company’s Labor and Employee Matters.
This event marked the partnership of Golden Arches and SPCM, which aims to help Grade 12 students be introduced to “an industry that directly relates to the student’s post- secondary goal. Through Work Immersion, the students are exposed to and become familiar with work-related environment related to their field of specialization to enhance their competence” in accordance to DepEd Order No. 30, series of 2017.
Ms. Rasco gave a speech on how Golden Arches Development Corporation partnered with different schools according to DepEd’s regulation, offering many Grade 12 students a chance to not only accomplish their work immersion requirements, but also have an experience in regards to their chosen career path and what happens in a real working environment.
30 students, coming from the Grade 12 HUMSS, ABM, and TECHVOC-ICT strands were taken in by Golden Arches as trainees for their work immersion, and were divided in accordance to the job most fit to their preferred strand and college course.
